What is a Pre-Order?

A pre-order is where you can place an order for a game before it has been released.
Our distributor/supplier has given us expected pricing and a release date for the game, we use this info on our website to give you an idea of when the game may arrive and what the cost will most likely be.
We process all pre-orders first, and they are processed in a first ordered, first processed basis.
By placing a pre-order you are reserving a copy from our first shipment.
You can cancel your pre-order any time up to the day of shipping by simply calling or emailing us.

Pre-Order Price Guarantee.

If the price of your pre-order item goes down between the time your order is placed and time the game is released, we will drop the price on your pre-order to match our current pre-order price.

What if the price goes up? If the price goes up, we will try to keep the price down for the early-birds.  If we do need to increase the pre-order price we will send an email to you, advising you of the change and asking for your approval to proceed with the order at the new price.

When do you ship my Pre-Order?

We ship pre orders when they arrive with us using express post so if you are in the express post network Australia Post should get it to you the next business day.
If the release date from our distributors is accurate they will usually get the stock to us the day before the release date. So that we can ship it to you for the release date.
Often the distributors release dates are not accurate (see below) and we will dispatch it to you when we receive the stock.

When do I pay for my Pre-Order?

Credit Cards
We do not charge credit cards until we have the stock in our warehouse and are ready to dispatch your order.
Direct Deposit
If you are paying by direct deposit we may request payment 2-3 day before the game arrives if we have a confirmed arrival date from our distributors, otherwise when it has arrived with us.
Cheque or Money Order
If you wish to pay by cheque, we will deposit the cheque 3 days before the game arrives if we have a confirmed arrival date from our distributors, otherwise when it has arrived with us.
If you wish to pay by Money Order, we need to have your Money Order before the shipping date.

Why has the release date changed?

Release dates are subject to change, slippage, delay, misfortune, miscalculation, and can also be inaccurate guestimates by over-eager publishers and/or developers (eg. Half Life 2 and Duke Nukem Forever) and other times they are just plain wrong.
We update the release dates and other information on our website when we receive updates from our distributors.
Our website will show the most up-to-date information that we have.
If we receive information for our distributors that a popular game will be delayed for a significant time, we will email all our pre-order customers and let them know what is going on (however sometimes we don’t know what is going on..).

The game’s International Website says the Global Release Date is today – how come your site says this game is due in a week/fortnight/month?
The International companies often announce Global releases. Here in Australia we are obtaining stock from their subsidiaries or sub-distributors, and our release information is based on their estimate of when they will have their stock and the time it takes them to sticker, shrink wrap, invoice, and transport the stock to us.

What happens when a game is delayed?
All Pre-orders are kept in our system until the game is released.
When a game is delayed or has not arrived with us by the expected release date our site will show the availability as overdue/delayed until the game arrives in stock or until we receive a new release date from our distributors. If we receive information for our distributors that a popular game will be delayed for a significant time, we will email all our pre-order customers and let them know what is going on.
